Swearing In
hey all-so today was our swearing in ceremony, so as i sit typing to you now i am officially a Peace Corps Volunteer, yay!! (previously i was a mere trainee). so basically it was like graduation take two, but instead of summer i have a house at a clinic to look forward too. oh and i got to chat with the us ambassador to lesotho, which is pretty neat as well as stuff my face with basotho food, which is in no way nutritionally sound, but i figured it might be the last really good meal i will see for a while b/c i have to transport a ton of stuff back to my site on African public transportation, so that means i will (for the first time in africa mind you) be going skimpy on the food. however i do have a pretty nice comforter that i bought that i'm totally looking forward to. i've reached my quota on sleeping in a sleeping bag, which i have been doing for the past 2 months, eek! so sorry for the rambling but it has been a long ass day and my mind is shot completely to bits and i'm leaving for site and will be all by my lonesome as of tomorrow which is a bit scary, but i've dealth with plenty of that thus far so i think i'll get through it. anyways, there's just not a lot to talk about today (actually there probably is but i just can't summon the energy to think it up), this short text is just a quick "hey all, i'm a volunteer now" kind of thing. oh also i'm posting up some links to some of the other volunteers in my groups, who may have deeper and more insightful entries than i do. sooo i will post again soon to let you all know how my site is going and such. so basically say a little prayer that all goes well and i survive the mountain of medical organization i'm about to partake in, eek!!
