okay so on sunday we have to give a concert as a fundraiser, and in lesotho a concert equals people paying rand so to make all the volunteers go up and sing and embarass the hell out of themselves. this should be good and i'll let you all know how it goes but i did manage to fit one showtune in the lineup "so long, farewell" from the sound of music. we are also doing the lion sleeps tonight, my girl (i'll make you proud dad, don't worry), and stand by me. hopefully all goes well but if i have to sing by myself i am so doing hairspray!!
also the lack of conviences must be addressed so you all know that every night instead of hiking the pitch black terraine to my latrine i must pee in a bucket. it is gross but now smells like oranges since i've discovered if i put orange peels in it won't stink. i am now an avid orange eater and eat at least 3 a day and as a resul have the best smelling pee bucket in town. also i have gone through many batteries and my head lamp is my best friend. also candles are a commodity and convience highly overlooked in america. they do produce a substantial amount of light. oh and if any one has any good book suggestions let me know b/c i'm flying through them just email it to me or call mom who will have to go get them for me, thanks!!
oh and in lesotho we did celebrate the fourth, i made some pretty kick ass potato salad and cole slaw, thus establishing myself as one of the food people/chefs in country. i am now very excited and oddly enough have now gotten a few marriage proposals, and not just from the basotho!! just kidding, but really they all know i can cook and i have a feeling i will have many visitors as a result. i am also still working on the photo thing and hopfully soon will have them up and by soon hopefully with in the next month!!! love you and miss you all and sorry for the bad spelling, yikes! khotso (peace)!
